Papyrus collection conserved

Our collection of 18 fragments of papyrus has now been conserved to the highest standards by the Scottish Conservation Studio (http://www.scottishconservationstudio.co.uk/). These precious manuscripts are the oldest documents in the library, some pre-dating the Christian era. They have been repaired and mounted between sheets of glass so they can now be studied and displayed without risk of damage.
